Check your house rules before Airbnb's Nov 20 policy does.

Check my rules

Built by a host who runs three cabins in Mentone, Alabama. A starting point, not a verdict.

Built for US hosts. Airbnb's policy and these checks are written for listings in the United States.

Step 1

Paste what guests see and what you send them

Before you paste: remove WiFi passwords, door codes, phone numbers and street addresses. The check does not need them.

Used in your report.

Open your listing, copy the House rules, Additional rules and checkout instructions, and paste them here.

Helps catch rules that disagree with each other.

Paste only the rules, checkout and policy sections. Skip the local guide and directions.

Checkout or pre-arrival messages. Merge codes like {CFIRST} are fine.

What happens to what you paste
  • Your text is read by an AI service and compared with Airbnb's published house rules policy. The AI provider is Anthropic. It deletes API inputs and outputs within 30 days (longer only if its safety systems flag misuse), and its commercial terms say it may not train models on them.
  • We never open your Airbnb page or any link. Only the text you paste is used.
  • Your pasted text is deleted from our systems within 24 hours. The report we email you quotes short excerpts from it.
  • If you ask for the full report, we keep your email, and any answers you choose to give about your rental business, in my host list until you unsubscribe. We never sell or share them. Your pasted text is not kept.
Step 2

A few things you can't paste

Optional, about 2 minutes. Some rules never show up in your listing text, like signs, deposits or sign-ups. More answers make a more complete report.

A No answer does not clear anything. It just means we have nothing to flag from that answer.

Why I built this

I run three cabins in Mentone, Alabama. When Airbnb announced its house rules changes, I ran my own rules, house manual and checkout email through this check first. It flagged several things worth a second look that I would have missed. I built it so other hosts can do the same before Nov 20.

Built from real hosting

This tool compares the text you paste with Airbnb's published policy and points out wording worth a second look. It can miss things, and it can flag things that turn out to be fine. It is a starting point, not a verdict, and it is not legal advice. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by Airbnb, and Airbnb may change its policy. Read the policy yourself in Airbnb's help article and its host article.

Policy last checked: November 2026.
